When and where is the Curling Club being hosted?

The Curling Club is being hosted at Finsbury Square, London from 1st – 19th December 2021.
&
The Curling Club is being hosted at The Langham Hotel, London from 20th November 2021 – 20th February 2022.

What is the capacity of the Curling Club?

The maximum standing capacity for The Curling Club is 500 people at Finsbury Square.

What are the opening times of the Curling Club?

The Curling Club @ Finsbury Square is open from 12:00 – 22:30 Monday – Saturday and until 22:00 on Sundays.

For group bookings the day is split into two sessions, daytime and evening. The daytime session finishes at 17:00 and the evening session start at 17:30.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes you cater for?

We can cater for all groups of 8-500 people, for any booking of less than 8 people please keep an eye out for general release tickets through our partners at Design My Night and on this website.

What are the group sizes for Curling and how many people can curl at any one time?

Our curling rinks have been designed for groups of 8 and we have 10 curling rinks in total. Which means each hour we can have a maximum of 80 people enjoying the curling with our dedicated host actors.

I want to hire The Curling Club exclusively for my Christmas party, is this possible?

Yes, you absolutely can! We have already got numerous requests for this and are able to offer The Curling Club on an Exclusive basis. The maximum capacity is 500 people and the exclusive hires fit into the Daytime and Evening Session format. We are able to co-brand the space and you can activate certain areas within the space however you would like. Our exclusive hires are all costed up on a bespoke package basis, but all work on a minimum spend basis. Should you wish to know more about exclusive hires, please get in touch with us.

Curling is a sport based on Ice; do I need to bring warm clothing?

As much as we would LOVE to have an on-ice experience, we decided it isn’t a surface that mixes well with a few drinks! Our Curling rinks are made from the world’s leading synthetic material, which has been used across the world at numerous high-profile events and activations. It’s as close to the real thing you can get while still wearing a t-shirt!

How are the group sessions at The Curling Club set out?

Each group booking experience with us is set over three hours, this is a combination of 2 hours food and drink and 1 hours high octane immersive curling experience. Most guests like to have a welcome hour of food and drink, move onto some high-octane competitive Curling and then back to your dedicated area for more food and drink.

Will we have a private area with a group booking?

Yes, all of our group bookings will have a dedicated reserved area for the entire 3-hour experience. Once your time with us has finished you will be invited to enjoy the rest of the session in the bar area.

Are we able to stay for longer and/or extend the amount of curling we do?

Yes, we are able to extend the time you are with us at The Curling Club, as we are going to be very busy there will be a minimum spend should you wish to hold onto your private area. If you want to stay in the bar area and soak up the atmosphere that is absolutely fine, if you have joined us for the daytime session and want to stay onto the night session this will be subject to available space. If you wish to extend the amount of curling you do, this also can be arranged at an additional fee and subject to availability.

What are the food options for The Curling Club?

Our food concept is high end street food, a less formal vibe and served normally on a self-serve basis. This means for most of our group bookings we will use a token system through our app to allow guests to order their food as and when they want to eat. We are also able to offer a canapes / bowl food offering for our much larger bookings. Please speak to us about this in advance. Please do let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance, guests will also be able to log this on the app.

What are the drinks options?

The drink offering at The Curling Club will feature a whole range of festive themed cocktails along with some Curling inspired sharing drinks. We will have a selection of fantastic beers, wines, champagnes and top end spirits available from the bars.

Is there a dress code at The Curling Club?

There is no dress code at the Curling Club, we just request you are clothed, and any fancy dress isn’t offensive or discriminatory in any way. There will be prizes on the night for the best fancy dressed groups.

Can I bring my own food and drink into The Curling Club?

Unfortunately, all food and drink consumed onsite can only be from us and our vendors for health and safety reasons. Should there be a very particular drink you want to enjoy with your guests, let us know in advance and we will make sure we have it in stock for you.

Is the Curling Club child friendly?

Children up to the age of 18 are welcome at the Curling Club for all of our Daytime sessions Monday – Saturday.
Children under the age of 18 will be welcome on Sunday evenings as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
We want everyone to be involved in The Curling Club, but our license only allows 18+ in the evening.

Am I allowed to bring my Dog?

As much as we love dogs and all animals, unfortunately we are not able to host any fury friends at The Curling Club, guide dogs are however allowed.

What entertainment will there be at The Curling Club?

As The Curling Club is an immersive experience, so we have gone out and sourced some of the best après ski bands and DJ’s that play in the alps every season. Expect all the classics and for anyone that is accustom to the joys of live music in a ski resort, be prepared for a few sing a longs! We will also have a team of actors, street performers and other on the day surprise acts for your enjoyment.

How do we order drinks while we are at The Curling Club?

Certain group packages will have dedicated hostess with them for the evening who you can order all drinks from. We also have an app for the Curling Club where you can order any food and drink by scanning the QR code that is on your table or rink. We have partnered with our friends over at Mr. Yum for this, it’s a great system that is super easy to use.

How do my guests get their tickets for The Curling Club?

When you make a booking with us you will be sent a unique booker link where you will be prompted to enter all of your guests’ names and email address that you wish to invite. This portal has .csv upload function for larger group sizes. Each guest will then be sent an email with instructions to download the hasta app where their ticket will be sitting in the app ready for them. It is important your guests use the same name and email to download the app as the invite is sent to.

Why do my guests need to download an app, can’t they just be sent a ticket?

For group bookings all our ticketing sits securely within our app, this is to ensure only invited guests gain access to The Curling Club and your area. The app also enables your guests’ access to us at table ordering system as
well as providing all useful information for on the day, one less thing for you to do!

One of my guests can no longer make it, how do I re send their invite to a new guest?

With everything that is still going on and general life, we are aware people at a last minute may not be able to attend. We are able to cancel the guest tickets that can no longer attend, you will then be able to re issue the invite to a new guest should you wish to invite someone else. You will not be able reissue a ticket until the other guest ticket has been cancelled, so please do let us know as soon as you can.

What happens if the Curling Club is cancelled due to government restrictions?

Should your booking not take place due to Government restrictions related to COVID-19, including reduced capacity, we guarantee you the option to transfer your booking to an alternative event, issue you with a credit note or provide you with a refund. We have also partnered with Ticket Plan to offer ticket protection to clients that wish to take this out. If you would like to know more about this, please send us an email.
